Why did you study these subjects?
Throughout my GCSEs, I really enjoyed English and knew I wanted to take this further at a higher level. I have also known from a very young age that I would like a career in the Police, so believed these subjects would give me a good basis to peruse a Criminology degree to help me achieve the role I would like to be employed in.
Tell us your favourite memory of your time at Carmel college sixth form
My favourite memory at Carmel is the HCPT 702 Lourdes Trip as it was a once in a lifetime experience to feel so included in the Carmel community and see first hand the work that the amazing charity does. The experience was both physically and mentally challenging, but the reward of seeing a town energised by the Pilgrimage made it all worth it. Lourdes is defiantly hard to put into words, so for anybody in the Sixth Form, I would defiantly recommend it!
How did Carmel College help you prepare for the future?
Carmel has given me numerous opportunities which I am grateful for, even within my 2 years of being here. I have loved representing the college on sports teams, open evenings and on leadership as a way to show my thanks for being welcomed so kindly into the college; going from not knowing a single student in September, to now being well – known and trusted around the College. The leadership I have been allowed to take at Carmel has prepared me to join the police; now being confident in the decisions I make and ensuring I can contribute towards building on the outstanding foundations that the VI already has in place.
