Our wonderful Year 12 students have been embracing Sign Language Week with real passion and enthusiasm as they continue their journey through Week 4 of their British Sign Language (BSL) course.
This week’s focus was all about food and eating out – a theme that brought plenty of fun, creativity and practical learning!
Students enjoyed signing their favourite meals, taking part in role‑play conversations set in restaurant scenarios, and practising real-life communication skills. With every session, they’re growing in confidence, independence and fluency, and it’s inspiring to see their progress.
What stood out most was their teamwork, positivity and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Their commitment to learning BSL truly reflects Carmel’s values of inclusion, understanding and communication for all.
A huge well done to our Year 12 students – we are incredibly proud of everything you’re achieving. Keep going, you’re doing brilliantly!
