Outstanding Achievements On and Off the Pitch

We are proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of members of our Carmel Sixth Form community in rugby this season.

A huge congratulations to Faith in Year 12, who was awarded Most Improved Player this season. Alongside this fantastic recognition, Faith has also proudly represented Darlington Mowden Park RFC through opportunities with the Scotland Academy, GB7s and county coaching programmes—an exceptional accomplishment that reflects true dedication, hard work and passion for the sport.

We are also delighted to celebrate Roberta Tenwick, a valued member of our Student Support admin team, who was voted Coaches’ Player of the Season by teammates. This award is a wonderful recognition of Roberta’s positivity, encouragement and commitment, both on and off the pitch.

For anyone inspired to get involved in rugby, Darlington Mowden Park RFC welcomes new players of all abilities. Training takes place every Thursday from 6:30pm, offering both touch and contact rugby—no prior experience needed.

The club prides itself on being a fun, welcoming and supportive community where friendships are built and everyone is encouraged to get involved. As one player perfectly summed it up:

“It’s all about the positive vibe.”

Well done to Faith and Roberta—fantastic role models for our students and community!
