Carmel College has been marking a significant milestone for its Year 13 students with two memorable events—the Leavers’ Mass and Celebration and the Leavers’ Ball 2026—bringing the college community together to reflect, give thanks, and celebrate.
A Meaningful Leavers’ Mass & Celebration
The day began with a special Leavers’ Mass, where students, staff, and the wider Carmel community gathered in a spirit of reflection and thanksgiving.
The Mass provided an opportunity to celebrate the journey of the Year 13 cohort and recognise all they have achieved during their time at the college.
A Prayerful and Reflective Celebration
The liturgy was enriched by beautiful music from the choir and musicians, creating a reflective atmosphere for all present. The service included:
- A thoughtful and inspiring homily from Fr Kevin
- Readings and leadership of the liturgy by the Student Leadership Team
- A shared moment of gratitude for the gifts, talents, friendships, and memories of the year group
Together, the Carmel family reflected on the students’ journey so far and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
Looking Ahead to New Beginnings
While the Mass marked the end of one chapter, it also celebrated the beginning of many new paths. Year 13 students were thanked for their positive contributions to college life, with staff expressing how proud they are of each individual.
A Night to Remember at the Leavers’ Ball
Later in the day, celebrations continued at the Year 13 Leavers’ Ball 2026, held at Redworth Hall Hotel.
The event brought students together for a wonderful evening of celebration, marking the end of their Carmel journey in style.
