THE PROGRAMME

This A Level is a rigorous and engaging qualification that explores the principles and practices of computer science. Students will study three components:

Computer Systems – covering hardware, software, data exchange, legal and ethical issues.

Algorithms and Programming – focusing on computational thinking, problem solving, and coding techniques.

Programming Project – a practical, non-exam assessment where students design, develop, and evaluate a coded solution to a real-world problem.

Assessment is split into two written exams (each worth 40%) and one programming project (worth 20%).
